I don’t know you, I don’t know where you are from but I call you friend because we both have something in common. We both struggled with acne. I started getting acne at about 12 years old and had acne all the way until I was 18. I had acne for over 5 years throughout my middle and high school years. My acne wasn’t extreme but it was pretty bad and very noticeable.

I had acne for years, struggled with it for years. My social life was affected for years, I got to be honest with you.. I even missed out on prom. It’s embarrassing to say even though you don’t know me personally yet.
One thing that always bothered me was my brother. Yes, was the typical “bully” older brother who always beat you at everything and made you feel like your not quite as good as him but it wasn’t that. You see… my brother was born with a birth defect. When I say birth defect I mean a real birth defect not something internal.
What Does My Brother’s Finger Have To Do With Your Acne? You may not know this yet but most acne treatments aren’t too safe. Let me explain this so you fully understand it because I don’t want something like this to happen to you. Going back to when my mother was a teenager she had acne, accutane was new on the market and she had severe acne so she decided to try it because her acne was so bad. They had her sign multiple forms before she took it and she did simply because the acne was so bad she would have done anything to get rid of it.
Turns out her firstborn son, my brother was born with a birth defect because of that drug. Accutane was one of the biggest acne drugs on the market and they finally took it off thankfully.
My brother played basketball and was very passionate about it, and he was and still is pretty freakin good! He’s under 6 feet tall and can dunk… (Plus he’s white! Haha)
During high school he tried out for the basketball team 4 years in a row. EVERY SINGLE YEAR he got cut.
Let me say that again… He tried out for basketball for years in a row and every single year he got cut. His right hand was missing half of his middle finger which is his shooting hand but that didn’t stop him from having a great shot. In fact he would often beat players 1-on-1 who played on the team.
